How does KeyFinale make money?
Our margin is built into the listed cost of each KeyFinale item. There's no software fee, no per-event fee and no percentage of what you raise. When one of our items sells, we receive its listed cost and your organization receives everything above it. Buyers also pay a 5% buyer’s premium on top of the price (3.5% on trips), which goes to KeyFinale and never comes out of your share. On your own items, your organization keeps 100% of the sale price.
What does my organization pay?
Nothing. There's no setup cost, no inventory to buy and no fee taken from your proceeds. KeyFinale covers card processing on every sale, including your own items.
What happens if an item doesn't sell?
Nothing. You never buy our items, so there's nothing to pay for or return. Unsold KeyFinale items simply stay with us.
What do buyers pay at checkout?
The price, plus a 5% buyer’s premium (3.5% on trips), shipping on KeyFinale items and any applicable sales tax. The premium is announced on every event page and shown before they pay, and none of it comes out of your share.
Can we add our own items?
Yes, as many as you like, alongside ours. You set the price and arrange delivery to the buyer. Your organization keeps 100% of the sale price: the buyer pays KeyFinale’s buyer’s premium on top, and KeyFinale covers the card processing.
Can we sell tickets or run a raffle?
Tickets, yes. You can sell admission to your event, for example 50 tickets at $50 each. Raffles, no. KeyFinale doesn't sell raffle tickets, drawing entries, 50/50s or anything else where a buyer pays for a chance to win.
How do we get paid?
Sales are paid into your organization's own Stripe account as they happen. When your event closes, you get a settlement report showing every sale.
